The ski holiday resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Saalfelden make up the Ski Circus ski region.
Saalbach is the better known of these resorts and offers the best après ski nightlife on the Ski Circus. Saalbach is also centrally located on the Ski Circus, between the ski resorts of Leogang and Hinterglemm. Saalfelden is located close to the ski Circus and has its own ski area at Hinterreit.
The skiing in Saalbach is dominated by intermediate slopes with tree lined, sunny ski pistes. The ski area in Saalbach offers around 200km of ski pistes when all the Ski Circus is taken into account.
Skiing in both Saalbach and Hinterglemm is offered on both sides of the valley that runs between the resorts, whilst Leogang is located in the next valley and has ski lifts can be accessed from the villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm. Saalfelden is a short bus transfer away and also accesses its own ski area at Hinterreit. The skiing on the Ski Circus area is not overly challenging but is extensive and skiers can attempt to ski the circuit from end to end, with just a couple of obstructions.
